Our First Ever FL Pop Up Shop!
We launched our online home and lifestyle store, Frankly Living, in December 2021, and soon realised we wanted a way of meeting our customers face to face whilst showcasing a capsule of our collections. And so, the next chapter of our FL journey began...a pop up shop!
We knew the venue had to be pretty special and have the right vibe for FL, and Morton’s Bistro, a local and very popular Artisan Cafe Bistro ticked all of those boxes and more! Luckily for us, they liked the look of what we do too. I'd found the perfect place for our first pop up right on our doorstep. I mean, just look at this for a venue…not bad hey! 
Fast forward 3 months (and a tonne of planning later) and we hosted our very first FL Pop up Shop in the Barn at Morton’s Bistro over March 4th – 7th and oh my goodness what a success it was! I honestly could never have imagined how amazing that weekend would be. I had inner panics running up to the date ‘what if nobody turns up’, ‘what if I can’t pull it off’! Turns out, there was no need for any of those worries. Meeting lots of customers, both local and further a-field, existing and new, was the absolute highlight of the weekend!
I had a vision of how I wanted the Pop up shop to look. I wanted to create a great customer experience from the moment you walked through the beautiful graphite grey doors, and for it to have the look and feel of a permanent high-end store. With lots of hard work, I hope I achieved that for everyone who visited. FL is a labour of love, it’s my dream turned reality, and I had to do it justice. Here’s a little peek at one side of the finished set up.
It was so lovely to chat with customers and to see them browsing our collections. Being a lover of shopping myself, I can appreciate just how important it is to actually feel textures of interior pieces and gifts. There were definitely stand out favourite pieces that our customers loved, far too many to mention, but here are a handful for you to have a swoon over…
Lungo Coffee Cups Wow...our customers absolutely loved these, and rightly so, they are unique and pretty darn special if we do say so ourselves.
Coastal Room & Mood Mist Every single person who walked through the door commented on the lovely fragrance in the air. This was a very popular line, but don’t worry, we have already restocked! keep your eyes peeled for a new product coming to FL soon in the same delicious scent!
Dot Bowls How could anybody not love these little gems! They are so beautiful and the perfect addition to any home. Over the course of the weekend we sold a real cross section of our dining and tableware collection. Our customers clearly like to mix and match pieces to create a lovely timeless relaxed style, just how we do!
Oil Bottle This gorgeous design was so popular and another sell out piece at the pop up. What great taste our customers have! 
Amelie Rag Doll She is a very special edition to our Little FL collection, with her pretty pink outfit and lovely top knot, we weren't surprised in the least that she stole the hearts of our customers. Another Little FL favourite were our Leopard Cub Hangers, these are so cool, we knew they'd be popular! 
And of course, I couldn't finish our very first FL blog without including my two most favourite people in the world, and the inspiration behind our brand. Frankly is actually a spin on both of my children’s names, Frankie and Polly. Seeing their little faces so proud makes all the hard work worth it!
I am beyond grateful to every single one of you who came to say hello and support us, and to those of you who couldn't make it, but who were cheering us on through Social Media – it really does mean the world. And a huge thank you to Morton’s Bistro for allowing us to make this happen. Feedback from customers was incredible!
We have lots of amazing events planned for 2022, including more Pop up shops at Morton's Bistro, events at Coppice Lifestyle, and wait for it...Daylesford Organic Farm - this is certainly going to be a pinch me moment!
I couldn't be happier with the direction FL is heading. Soon we'll be launching our very own FL Events Calendar, how exciting is that!
